Stay up to date on events and activities happening at Husky Terminal!
In June, we celebrated the retirement of Brenda Martin, our Vice President of Terminal Services. Brenda has been a true pioneer in our industry! She served Husky Terminal diligently and with professionalism for the past five years, capping off a remarkable 20+ years in the maritime industry.
Brenda began her journey in the industry at APL in 1997 and quickly progressed, taking on increased responsibility over her career. Many great operators emerged from Brenda’s tutelage and mentorship, with several advancing to senior roles in the marine terminal industry. She received the Teacher of the Year award for the MTOP (Marine Terminal Operations Professional), a professional designation program at Cal State Long Beach in California.
Thank you for your years of leadership, Brenda. You will be missed!
We Congratulate all #WomenInMaritime. We at Husky Terminal want to Empower Women in the Maritime Industry and are honored to have this incredible group of women as part of the Husky Team.
International Day of Women in Maritime is May 18th. We are so thankful for the hard work and leadership of our team at Husky!
We had a blast at the Husky Holiday party this year, at the Maritime Heritage Museum! We always appreciate the opportunity to spend some time relaxing with our co-workers, especially during the holidays.
Once a quarter, Husky employees participate in a “Stop Work” event. This is a time where we all stop working and spend time together to celebrate all of the hard work we do, by having a little fun. Each event, we try to support a different local PNW business. We enjoy a little food, some fun activities, and just hangout. At one of our last “Stop Work” events, we went to Stadium Golf, to play a little pool and try out virtual golf.
Husky Terminal is honored to partner with two unions, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers (IAM) and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) to deliver safe and outstanding services to our stakeholders. Periodically, we take time to celebrate our safe practices and all of the hard work of our workforce partners. This year, we held a 2023 Summer BBQ catered lunch for all employees and our workforce to come together.
