
Dan has thirty (35) plus years of professional Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience working on projects throughout most of the continental United States including seaports, DOD & DOE facilities, chemical and refinery plants, active and abandoned landfill sites, Superfund and Brownfield properties, and building/infrastructure construction jobs.
While serving as the Safety Director for DBM, over a seven year period, the company saw a 86% drop in recordable injuries. The firm also did not experience a lost time injury over a six-year period. The company received the ADSC Outstanding Safety Award (2018-2024) and AGC Excellent Safety Award – Zero Incident Rate (2020-2024).
Dan is a certified safety professional (CSP), a professional geologist (PG) certified in several states, and is currently preparing to obtain CHMM certification. He has been a technical presenter at both the Construction Safety Days and GISHAB Conference in 2023, 2024, Spring of 2025, and the Blue Mountain Safety Conference in 2024.
He and his wife Nanette have a blended family with over 21 active and energetic grandchildren which may be the reason why he experiences selective hearing loss during family reunions.
