As Director of Safety at Husky Terminal, Spencer leads the terminal’s health and safety programs, strengthens regulatory compliance, and partners with employees, labor, and operational leaders to prevent injuries and reduce risk. He is committed to integrating safety into daily operations and supporting Husky’s goal of providing a safe, efficient, and productive workplace. 

Spencer brings more than 10 years of health, safety, environmental, and compliance leadership experience across marine terminals, commercial shipyards, offshore oil and gas, marine construction, commercial diving, environmental response, vessel casualty response, and large-scale food processing. Before joining Husky, he provided safety leadership and consulting support to maritime companies throughout the Pacific Northwest and held corporate and field safety leadership positions in the maritime industry. 

His early background as a paramedic and emergency medical professional gives him a unique perspective on injury prevention, emergency response, and employee support in challenging situations. 

He believes effective safety leadership begins with strong relationships, open communication, and empowering employees and supervisors to take an active role in protecting themselves and one another. 

A lifelong Washington resident, Spencer is a proud father, and outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
