As the Director of Strategy for Husky Terminal, Wes Heverley’s focus is on identifying and leading initiatives that will positively impact Husky and its customers now and position the company as the premier marine terminal in the Pacific Northwest in the future. Through effective and clear communication, he is able to bring all departments together with a concise message and direction. Wes’s relentless pursuits of efficiency and optimization have guided him on a successful career spanning both public and private sectors with varying levels of leadership and responsibilities.
Starting his career in the US Army as an infantry soldier, Wes gained valuable experience leading troops and combat missions through extremely adverse conditions. Through constant improvement and unmatched attention to detail he gained rapid promotions and advancements in the military and received an honorable discharge after 6 years of service and multiple combat deployments. Earning degrees from Penn State University in Business Management, Supply Chain Operations, and Project Management gave Wes the foundation he needed to excel in the private sector as well. Before joining Husky, Wes held down supply chain project management positions at some of the largest companies in the world to include The Boeing Company and Meta Platforms Inc. He also had a stint at Blue Origin setting up the supply chain for the Operations and Maintenance division of the New Shepard rocket program.
A somewhat recent addition to the Pacific Northwest, Wes moved to Seattle in 2015 and immediately began taking advantage of everything the area has to offer. An outdoor enthusiast, he spends a lot of his time in the summer hiking, camping, fishing, and playing sports.
